Creating Connections is our weekly writing and performance workshops facilitated by the Young Identity Collective; established poets providing guidance and mentoring. We are calling all aspiring writers, poets and spoken-word artists aged 13-25. If you’d like to attend, register below.

In partnership with Respect and Dignity Arts, a Nelson based organisation led by Waqar Ahmed, writing about heritage and community with a focus on the experiences of a new generation defining their place in present times.

Our HOME workshop is a vibrant large-scale workshop in partnership with one of the most eclectic art centres in Manchester. Here participants respond to exhibitions, films and theatre in both written and performance forms.

Our Central Library workshop in partnership with the Ahmed Iqbal Ullah Education Trust, gives access to archives, stories and canons from writers of colour, looking at form, performance, storytelling and broadening knowledge of Global Majority artists, led by alumnus mentor Reece Williams.

Our Old Trafford workshop takes place at creative hub OT Creative Space. Participants explore poetry and performance through writing activities and discussion. It's a supportive environment where everyone, regardless of experience, can develop their skills and share their work with confidence.
